About the E-train Assessment and Feedback System
E-train is a web based development project from OrangeBand Designs. It is inspired by an in-depth research
project into the process of learning and application of technology within the learning process. The E-train system builds upon the concept of
learning within an assessment environment. The only time that we learn within assessment is when we are incorrect and learn from our
mistakes, as such E-train focuses on providing the student with feedback to their answers to allow them to learn.
The E-train E learning assessment and feedback system is comprised of 3 role based sections:
Instructor:
- Provides functionality to create tests containing different forms of
questions: Multiple choice, Open ended questions and closed questions.
- Provides functionality to create feedback to give to the student depending
on the answer given.
- Allows effective monitoring of students progress.
- Provides automatic marking and grading of student’s progress.
- Provides effective methods of communication.
Student:
- Provides interface to take online tests.
- Provides functionality to manage account.
- Provides feedback to all answers given allowing students to learn.
- Provides effective methods of communication.
Admin:
- Provides interfaces to monitor accounts.
- Provides ability to track system usages.
- Provides ability to administrate database.
